DCCC Seminar: Overcoming Cultural Barriers, October 30th
Home
The DCCC is pleased to invite you to learn more about cultural understanding and cross-cultural collaboration with Annette Dahl from C3. In this dynamic and interactive seminar, Annette Dahl will introduce relevant theoretical models and present these in a Chinese-Danish perspective as well as a global mindset.
All cultural understanding begins with self-understanding. Basic and off-course you might think, but how competent are you actually in explaining what you define as ‘normal and typical’? Which preferences do you have in your global working and communication style and do your colleagues know? Or do you just assume they know? How often do you explore the cultural self-understanding of your international colleague?
It is clear that globalization has cemented itself in many different parts of life. As organizations become more globalized they may face many new barriers, that must be overcome. There are many ways to deal these, but how do you gain most from the situation and what kind of analytical tools can be used?
To enlighten us on the topic, Annette Dahl, who has extensive and practical knowledge of the topic, will do a presentation. Annette Dahl is founder and managing director of C3 Consulting and has a vast experience in cross-cultural training. The seminar will be interactive and participants will be encouraged to discuss and make suggestions for different cases. There will be coffee, tea, cookies and fresh fruit served at the seminar.
