Young Professionals: From Software Nerd in Denmark to a Global Quality Leader in China

The Danish Young Professionals are pleased to invite you to our Quality Leadership event on the 22nd of March. We have invited Martin Hess Pedersen, Head of Quality for Nokia Branded Business at Foxconn, to come and share his story on becoming a global quality leader in China.

Welcome to the ‘Era of Quality’ where only that manufacturer, who supplies better quality goods and services to the consumers can survive today’s competitive market and large scale production. In fact quality control has become a major consideration in every company because proper quality consciousness ensures the most effective utilization of available resources and reduction in production costs.

With a degree in computer science and almost two decades of experience within software development, Martin Hess Pedersen came to Beijing in 2011 to work for Nokia as director of mobile phones R&D quality. Seven years has now past, and he works today as the head of quality for Nokia branded business at the world’s largest producer and product developer of electronics Foxconn with 1,1 million employees.

During this Quality Leadership event, Martin Hess Pedersen will present his experience with quality control and how he manages to navigate Foxconn’s products in the right direction. He will also share his exciting personal story with us to learn more about his background and career path that lead him all the way to China.

The event will take place at Blue Marlin Bar and Restaurant and make sure to come early to enjoy some good food and drinks as there will be discounts on selected meals and drinks throughout the evening. Remember to register so we know how many to expect.


Who are we?
The Danish Young Professionals is a volunteer-run and a non-profit organization established under the Danish Chamber of Commerce China, Beijing. Our primary purpose is to serve as a platform for young expatriates with relation to Denmark. We believe it is important that our events are held in an informal manner and have both social, cultural and professional purposes.
