The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, The Danish Chamber of Commerce in China and Danes Worldwide are pleased to invite you to a meeting for Danes living abroad which will take place on

Thursday April 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

The meeting is open for all Danes and spouses, family members, or others with an affiliation to Denmark. The meeting offers a unique opportunity to get an update on new rules and issues, which affect most Danes residing in China. Among other topics on the agenda are the following:

• Newly proposed rules regarding family reunification.
• New rules regarding public pensions and unemployment benefits.
• Maintaining citizenship for Danish children born abroad.
• Danish language education.

The meeting will take place in English in order for everybody to be able to join. There will be served a light dinner buffet.

PROGRAM OF THE MEETING
  • 6.00 PM Light dinner buffet will be served, networking
  • 7.00 PM Welcome speech by Mr. Jakob Linulf, Minister Counsellor, Head of Trade Council – China, The Danish Embassy in Beijing.
  • 7.15 PM Mr. Thomas Møller Andersen informs about the activities of the Chamber of Commerce.
  • 7.35 PM Ms. Anne Marie Dalgaard, Secretary General of Danes Worldwide, will inform about the Organization in general, focusing in particular on political issues and advocacy. Danes Worldwide´s Danish language programs will also be presented.
  • 8.15 PM Open discussion, questions and networking.
  • 9.00 PM End of meeting
