Have you wondered about the recently renovated and much upgraded Liangmahe riverbank in Beijing's Chaoyang District? We have, and we have therefore invited Ms Ma Jingjing, General Manager of NordiQ to literally walk us through their Danish livable city development experience with a Chinese new town development urban vision. Together with the Infrastructure Department of the Beijing Municipal Commission, NordiQ collaborated on a green-blue-gray strategy. The project included a 4,5 km stretching of the Liangma river which runs through some of Chaoyang District's most important neighborhoods. The overall idea was to lower the water level in the river to make room for a green corridor for soft road taking users who cross under the massive ring roads and connect to the great Chaoyang Park.

Ms. Ma is the key founders of NordiQ Group, which is providing the comprehensive urban service chain from the strategic consultation of synergies of urban form and ecological infrastructure conceptual planning, technical solution combined with water, climate adaptation, energy and ecological engineering, to technical consultation on the water resource management, soil and groundwater clean-up management, and green building concepts.
Ms Ma has been the bridge between the designing partners in China and Denmark, and working as holistic approach project manager for the comprehensive urban strategic positioning and concept master plan projects. Ms Ma has working in the energy and climate adaptation, cross boundaries in Denmark and China, from the urban regional scale, to district scale and project building scale. She has been working on more than 50+ urban development projects since 2009, selected projects from last year alone.
