Sankt Hans marks the summer solstice, a time when Danes gather to welcome the season of warmth and light, bidding farewell to the dark winter days.
What to Expect:

- Burning of the Witch: Witness the traditional burning of the witch, a symbolic act steeped in folklore.

Fun Fact:
Sankt Hans traces back to Viking times when bonfires were lit to ward off evil spirits and people visited healing water wells. While the water well tradition has faded, today's celebrations often feature bonfires, speeches, picnics, and songs, keeping the spirit of tradition alive.
