The DCCC is happy to invite our member companies to The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing, who will host a seminar on the new cybersecurity law that will come into force on the 1st of June. The speaker of the seminar will be the Associate Director at Control Risks, Carly Ramsey, who will focus on the impact of the law for foreign companies.

The IT market is worth in excess of USD 300 billion and more than 10,000 websites are tampered with every month in China. The rapid economic growth has made China an attracted market for many foreign companies and a top priority in the globalized world is cybersecurity. The timing of the law follows the global trend of increasing regulations of cyberspace. However, the lack of transparency and clarification on the impact of the new Chinese law cause concern to the foreign private sector. Even though the key words are stability and “cyber-sovereignty”, the law may have significant ramifications for enterprises in China such as the requirements for localising storage of data on servers within China and restrictions on cross border data flow.
  • Speaker: Ms. Carly Ramsey, Associate Director in Control Risks, a global risk consultancy that has a specialty in cybersecurity risk.
  • Opening remarks by Lars Bo Larsen, Deputy Head of Mission

The presentation will be held at the Danish Embassy, and the DCCC is happy to invite our member companies to attend free of charge. DCCC member companies can send 1-3 selected representatives that must register no later than 29th of May. Participants must bring passport or ID card for the registration.
