The award gala will be held at CHARCOAL SH, located in a historic shipyard building along the Huangpu River that reflects Shanghai's industrial past. Once part of a bustling network of shipyards, this area played a key role in the city's transformation into a modern industrial hub.

The old shipyard buildings, now repurposed, blend historic charm with contemporary design, preserving the legacy of Shanghai's maritime heritage while serving as vibrant cultural spaces.

Reception Soirée

To open the gala, hear Lars Sandahl, CEO of the Confederation of Danish Industry, deliver a keynote on Denmark's approach to balancing economic opportunities and political challenges with China. Panelists Michael Starbæk Christensen (Denmark's Ambassador to China), Thor Stadil (Chairman of THORNICO), and Anne Sophie Zerlang Karlsen (Head of Operations TbM, Maersk Asia Pacific) will share insights on strategic autonomy and collaboration, moderated by Simon Lichtenberg, CEO of Trayton.

A Glimpse into the History of the Award

In 2007, the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China introduced the "Business Person of the Year" award to acknowledge outstanding contribution within our business community. In 2009, the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award was introduced as an additional category.

The Business Person of the Year Award Gala serves as a platform to honor the winners and finalists, fostering inspiration, and strengthening our business community. Each year, three outstanding candidates for each award category undergo thorough selection.

During the award ceremony, the recipients will be presented with the coveted "Vilhelm Award Statuette." This statuette bears the name of Vilhelm Meyer, the renowned and enterprising Danish entrepreneur who made Shanghai his home and workplace from 1900 to 1935.

We sincerely thank past winners of the Business Person of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year awards for their significant contributions to our business community. Their dedication, innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence have set an inspiring standard for all.

2007年，中国丹麦商会设立了"年度商业人物"奖，以表彰商业界中的杰出贡献者。2009年，增设了"年度企业家"奖。

年度商业人物颁奖典礼是一个旨在庆祝卓越、激励潜能的重要平台，同时也为我们提供了拓展社交圈层、深化人脉联系的宝贵契机。每年每个奖项类别都会经过严格筛选，选出三位杰出候选人。

在颁奖典礼上，获奖者将获得梦寐以求的"Vilhelm奖小雕像"。这座小雕像以Vilhelm Meyer的名字命名。Vilhelm Meyer是著名的丹麦企业家，曾于1900年至1935年在上海工作和生活。
