DCCC is pleased to invite you to an insightful presentation and discussion on the European Business in China Position Paper 2024/2025, the flagship publication of the European Chamber. After six months of dedicated effort by 50 working groups, this paper outlines the key challenges European companies face in China, offering over 1,000 recommendations to improve the business environment.
This year's paper highlights the widening gap between China's pro-business reform pledges and their implementation, raising concerns for many European investors. Despite some positive signals from the Chinese Government, many fundamental issues remain unresolved. This event provides a unique opportunity to engage directly with European business leaders and understand the critical aspects impacting European businesses in China today.

Ambassador Mikael Winther has had a distinguished career within the Danish Foreign Service. He has held senior positions across Asia and various departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark. He served as Denmark’s Ambassador to Iraq, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Deputy Head of Mission in Vietnam. With a strong background in economics and academia, Ambassador Winther currently serves as the Danish Consul General in Shanghai, responsible for several provinces in China.

Founder and Managing Partner, D’Andrea & Partners Legal CounselFounder and Managing Partner of D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, Carlo D’Andrea has been instrumental in building business bridges between Europe and China. Fluent in Mandarin, English, Italian, and Spanish, Carlo has over two decades of experience in China, specializing in cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and intellectual property rights. He has held several leadership roles within the European Chamber, including as National Vice President, and is currently Chairman of the Shanghai Chapter.
Simon Lichtenberg
CEO, Trayton GroupSimon Lichtenberg, an international entrepreneur, established Trayton Group in Shanghai after completing his studies in Chinese language and Sinology at Fudan University. He has built a successful business empire, supplying furniture to global brands like IKEA and launching brands such as SofaPop. Despite facing challenges, Simon has continued to thrive, receiving the "Magnolia Silver Award" in recognition of his contributions to Shanghai’s development. Simon also serves on the DCCC Board of Directors and the EUCCC Executive Committee.
