One of the earliest outsourcers of computer software and information technology services. The company is the first Chinese enterprise to provide software and information technology services for Chinese banking industry. The company developed and built the first version of bank of China's foreign exchange trading system. Also developed for the bank in the absence of Internet conditions, relying on the simulation of communication lines savings account inquiry system. In 2003, he joined Inspur group and involved in the establishment of Inspur group's software and information technology services offshore outsourcing business. He took the leading position in establishing Inspur's outsourcing business team and presided over the construction of Microsoft's first offshore laboratory in China, which was the very first and only one for Microsoft to test the Windows operating system in China's offshore laboratory. Contributed greatly to the investment from Microsoft to Inspur. On the basis of more than 20 years of software and information technology service outsourcing practice, the company focused on theoretical research.

As a witness and participant of the development of service outsourcing in China, he has participated in the research projects of service outsourcing research center of the Ministry of Commerce for many times. Invited by Zhu Xiaoming, dean of CEIBS, Mr. Yao shared a case study of "service outsourcing under the situation of Internet, big data and cloud computing" for the EMBA class. In the seminar of the development strategy of China's service outsourcing park held by the Ministry of Commerce and other departments under the general office of the State Council on the issue of promoting the development of service outsourcing industry, his speech on 《Outsourcing of China should be Compatible with the Strategy of "One belt & One Road"》 has attracted the attention of the leaders and other experts from the event.
