Trip to the Beijing Daxing International Airport

Right now a massive construction project is happening very close to Beijing! The Daxing Airport is expected to be the world's largest airport and it is being built 40 km south of the center of Beijing. In September 2019 the airport will open up to the world and become the biggest center of traffic for the Middle Kingdom with both domestic and international flights.

In 2011 the first reports of the new airport were released in the media, as the Beijing Capital International Airport was already about to reach its max capacity. The Daxing Airport plays an important infrastructural part of the CCP's plans for the Jingjinji (Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei) linking the whole area to the airport with highways and new highspeed trains. The Daxing Airport will also serve the new green/smart city Xiong An New Area and thus with its 700.000 square meter terminal area the new airport is built to serve an extreme flow of people from all these huge cities surrounding it.

And now the DCCC invites you for a half-day trip to get a unique first-look at the airport before it officially opens. Together with one of China's biggest construction companies, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), we will go by bus to see the construction site.
